Licensing policy

In Standard license mode, NCReport is licensed separately for each platform and per developer seat. Standard and Enterprise licenses ship with the full source code, an update service (maintenance) and standard support: 1 year with Standard licenses and 2 years with the Enterprise license. Technical support is provided online through the support ticket system and by e-mail.

Standard developer licenses

Standard licenses are per platform and per developer seat, and the source code is shipped with the license. We do not charge any royalties for redistributing components that are integrated into applications you build.

• NCReport may only be deployed as an integrated part of your application, not as a standalone product.
• Distributing any part of the source code is not allowed.

Enterprise license

The Enterprise license is for larger companies. It allows unlimited use of the software throughout the entire organisation: there is no limit on developer seats or platforms, and the support service is higher level (2 years of support and upgrades).

As with Standard licenses, there are no royalties for redistributing integrated components. NCReport may only be deployed as an integrated part of your application, and distributing any part of the source code is not allowed.

Academic license

The Academic license is for non-profit educational, academic and research institutions. The licensee may use the software only for academic research projects. This explicitly excludes projects contracted to the licensee by a third party for a fee, and projects done in collaboration with a third party that funds the research in whole or in part in exchange for commercial rights to the results or a delay in publishing them.

Source code is not shipped with the Academic license.

Support and upgrade renewal

• If you renew before your support period ends, the renewal costs 50% of the license price. Enterprise renewals cost less than 50%.
• If you renew after the end date but within 2 years, the renewal costs 60% of the license price.
• After 2 years without renewal, a new license is required to get support and upgrades again.

Evaluation

Evaluation packages are provided under the PUEL evaluation license for trial purposes. They are fully working; printed pages carry an evaluation label.
